Preschool Shoes

There are many things to consider when choosing a pair of new kid's shoes, but these three factors should be at the top of your checklist: comfort, design and durability.

Childrens shoes may be tiny and cute, but for your stomping three year old, a good, comfortable shoes trump tiny and cute any day.

Of course, cute is important to your cute little girl; woman of all ages (including yours truely..ehmm..ehhmm..) will feel like a million bucks in just the right shoes, four year-olds included.

When buying shoes, do give a listen to what the child would like to wear and seriously consider them. After all, if they like to wear the shoes, they'll definitely keep them on. But if your kid asks for thoses shoes with loud noice when they step on it , then you can give yourself the "right" to decide. :)

Btw, preschool kids love pink shoes or brown shoes, and they can be so cute in them!

Ok, design doesn't end with cute, however. There are other considerations when it comes to design.

Here's a fact: preschool children love to do things on their own - they've just started to be independent and they can't get enough.

Consult with your child if they want the challenge of a lace up shoe, or one that closes around the ankle with a Velcro strap, or whichever design they'll have fun fiddling with.

Comfort, obviously, is of great importance. Make sure that you get the right size for your child; don't think that you can get a bigger size for them to "grow" into.

They will have a hard time walking in their clunky shoes and may even get into accidents. You'll be saving your preschooler a lot of discomfort in the future.

Take a look at the material that the shoes are made of. Heels are not advisable at this age, no matter how cute they are. Find good soft leather new kid's shoes with testaments from their makers that they were not treated with formaldehyde.

Well you can also get those "animal free" vegan shoes that are still roomy and cozy.

Soft suede shoes are also comfortable. The soles should be made of no-slip rubber, which is important to these little ones when it's time to really get going. You also cannot have a very thick sole, as these may cause accidents, so opt for thin soles instead.

Moccasins were widely used for younger toddlers, but as they get older, they should opt to find a sturdier shoe. There are now moccasin designs for preschoolers to wear, with tough yet pliable leather on the outside, comfy sheepskin on the inside to keep their feet dry.

Also, you must take a good look at the seams that hold the shoe together. Durability is another important factor to consider when buying preschool shoes, which will endure a lot of action during the next few months.

The seams must be really well stitched and solidly attached, but not glued together. Glued shoes will eventually come apart.

There are more and more new kid's shoe companies that specially cater to children and toddlers. They set out to making custom-built shoes that feel so light and comfortable, that your child will feel he's walking barefoot.

You can also choose those wide toddler shoes. These shoes are great for preschoolers because they're beginning to get really active at this age of development and are more akin to running, jumping, stomping, dancing... the possibilities are endless for preschoolers.

Hopefully, you will find the new kid's shoes that are up to the task.
